Liz Shropshire, director of the Shropshire Music Foundation, will address students as part of the School of Music’s Lecture Series on January 14 at 11:00 am in the Madsen Recital Hall.
Shropshire’s foundation has a unique mission to redress psychosocial trauma, develop scholastic achievement, foster ethnic tolerance, and improve the quality of life for war-affected children through the establishment of on-going music education programs.
Her remarks will focus on innovative solutions to ethnic hate and emotional trauma through her incredible experiences in the troubled countries of Kosovo, Northern Ireland and Northern Uganda. She will also discuss how the Gospel has affected her work.
Liz Shropshire is a BYU alumna.
